As Managing Partner of B+A Architecture and Managing Member of MLKC Investments, Thong is responsible for driving the strategic direction of the office and overseeing the day-to-day operations. He leverages his experience building lasting partnerships with clients to define intent, envision successful outcomes, and solve problems relating to architectural design at all scales. His experience across diverse project types allows him to quickly understand the complexity of his clients’ challenges and set in motion new strategies to solve them.

Thong qualified with a BA in Architecture from Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture in 2003. After five years of work in architectural design and real estate development in his native Vietnam, he moved to the US, where he completed a Master of Arts in Architectural Studies at the University of Missouri – Colombia in 2013. In addition to the architectural design work, Thong has been involved in development process assisting his clients in multiple tasks such as feasibility studies, financial analysis, tax incentive applications, bank loans, construction bidding, and construction management. He has advocated for clients between all levels of government, participated in funding efforts, and promoted development projects in community engagement programs. He started the real estate development company, BkT Development, in 2021 along with his partners Butch Dougherty and Hao Huynh.
